Fun, Social, Activities-based Adult Day Program (with education, socialization, and community volunteer activities every day) Seeking Direct Support Professional (DSP)for Our Adult Male Client Join Our Day Program for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities __________ POSITION: Direct Support Professional (DSP)for Adult Day Program DAYS & HOURS: Mondays - Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (sometimes later) LOCATION: Westside (Pico-Robertson Area) RATE of PAY: Starting at $19.00 - $20.00 per hour (DOE) REQUIREMENTS: - Must be patient and engaging - Ability to redirect when client is distracted - Assist with "personal hygiene" (including toileting) - Experience with transfer in and out of wheelchair (a plus) Must Answer YES to ALL of the Following: Are you available from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday - Friday? Are you willing to drive your PERSONAL VEHICLE approximately 100 miles per week on the job with a client? Are you willing to drive a COMPANY VAN approximately 100 miles per week on the job with multiple clients? Are you willing to commute to the Pico-Robertson Area? Our clients require varying levels of support in the following areas: verbal and non-verbal communication, toileting, and mobility. Are you willing to support clients in all of these areas? Are you able to occasionally lift up to 160 pounds (for assisting with wheelchair transfer)?
